Let's Begin

Let’s get started with the basic steps:

• Read our Statement of Faith and Parental Agreement
• Complete the Application for Membership
• Include your tuition payment with the application
• Complete the pre-enrollment conference (if not done already) when contacted by a representative of Fallston Christian Home School
• File your Notification of Homeschooling Form with the appropriate county (on the second page, option B; list Fallston Christian Home School,1509 Fallston Rd.,Fallston, MD 21047)
• This form should be completed 15 days before you begin homeschooling.
• Purchase a Journal or Planner
• Determine your homeschool goals and objectives
• Write out a plan of what you hope to accomplish
• Take time to establish a budget for curriculum and other necessities
• Decide where you will be teaching. This might be in a dedicated room, on the kitchen table, on the living room floor, or wherever is convenient to you.
• Do not try to duplicate the public school classroom. Remember you are homeschooling!
• Visit a bookstore dedicated to homeschoolers or browse websites for curriculum.
• Remember your budget and remember that the most expensive is not always the best
• Most of all, keep in mind that you have been homeschooling since your child was born, and you are still his or her best teacher.
